Sunset Tour
- A leisurely paddle to explore Horseshoe Bay
- Drift over seagrass beds and coral gardens without disturbing the environment
- Have a relaxing drink as you watch the sun go down
- Tours operate 7 days (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day)
- Tours operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 customers
- Minimum age for participation in the tours is 7 years; each child under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult
- All tours are timed to coincide with the Sealink and Magnetic Island Sunbus services
When
- Winter check-in time is 3:45pm, but in summer it is 4:30pm
- Please reconfirm start and finish times with our office within 1 week your booking
- Horseshoe Bay beach front across the road from the bus terminus and mini roundabout on the beach to the right of the public toilets
- Tour returns approx. 2 hours later
Cost
- $60 per adult (in a double sea kayak)
- $115 for 1 adult and 1 child under 15 years (in a double sea kayak)
- $220 per family (2 adults + 2 children under 15 years in 2 double sea kayaks)

Getting Here
- Coming from town the last ferry you would need to catch is the 2:15pm Sealink ferry from the Breakwater Terminal, which gets into Nelly Bay @ 2:40pm
- The MI Sunbus departs Picnic Bay @ 2:25pm for Nelly Bay
- There is a connecting bus which departs Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal @ 2:50pm getting into Horseshoe Bay @ 3:05pm
- You can travel over earlier in the day and spend longer on Magnetic Island and in Horseshoe Bay prior to check-in
Suggested attire for partaking in sea kayaking
- Bathers, shorts & shirt to paddle in
- Hat & sunglasses
- Footwear to get wet (sandals, joggers, w/suit boots)
- Sunscreen
- Water bottle
- A small bag containing towel and change of clothing for when you return
- We do have bottled water available for purchase prior to commencement of the tour
Please Note:
- November to May is stinger season
- The wearing of stinger suits during stinger season is compulsory
- We have a large selection of stinger suits for use in a variety of sizes
- We encourage anybody with their own stinger suits to bring them along to use
